In late December 2024, we received an inquiry from a long-standing Chinese customer regarding ASTM A182 F904L slip on flanges. We had worked with this customer on multiple occasions in the past. Upon receiving the inquiry, we promptly responded to the customer, who placed an order in early 2025.
Material Standard: ASTM A182 F904L Stainless steel
Size : DN25
Pressure:Class 150
Production Standard: ASME B16.5
Upon receiving an order for ASTM A182 F904L Slip on Flanges, we immediately initiate production. The procurement department closely monitors production progress and promptly updates the customer on order status to ensure timely delivery. Regardless of the order amount or quantity, treating every order with a rigorous attitude has always been the business philosophy that Shanghai Zhengcheng has upheld over the years. Before each batch of flanges is shipped, the quality inspection department will conduct comprehensive dimensional inspections in strict accordance with the ASME B16.5 standard (including outer diameter, thickness, seal face tolerances, etc.), and retain inspection reports to ensure that the products meet the customer’s usage requirements.

Inspection of ASTM A182 F904L Slip On Flanges

ASTM A182 F904L Slip On Flanges Package
Slip on flanges (SO) are a common type of pipe connection component. Their inner diameter is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pipe, allowing the pipe to be directly inserted into the flange for welding during installation. Typically, a weld is applied on both the inner and outer sides to enhance sealing performance and structural strength. Due to their ease of installation and low requirements for pipe precision, weld-on flanges are widely used in medium- and low-pressure pipe systems and are suitable for transporting media such as water, oil, and gas.
✅F904L contains high proportions of Ni (23%-28%), Cr (19%-23%), Mo (4%-5%), and Cu (1%-2%), giving it excellent corrosion resistance in strong acids (such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid), chloride environments (such as seawater), and sulfur-containing media.
✅The high molybdenum and copper content significantly enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, making it suitable for marine engineering, chemical equipment, and other environments prone to chloride ion corrosion.
✅F904L is a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel that does not easily form carbide precipitates during welding, reducing the risk of intergranular corrosion.
✅Tensile strength ≥490 MPa, yield strength ≥215 MPa, elongation ≥35%, maintaining stable performance under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions, suitable for harsh operating conditions.
