Type 01 plate flanges are the most common type of pipe connection. They consist of a simple flat ring that is bolted to a mating flange, securely joining two sections of a piping system. Due to their simple structure, low cost, and ease of installation, they are widely used in low-pressure piping systems carrying media such as water and air that do not require high pressure.

✅Outer Diameter: This refers to the maximum diameter of the entire flange face, determining the overall dimensions of the flange and the space required for installation.
✅Inner Diameter: This is the diameter of the central borehole in the flange, which must match the inner diameter of the connecting pipe to ensure smooth flow of the medium.
✅Thickness: The overall thickness of the flange directly affects its pressure rating; thicker flanges typically offer higher strength.
✅Bolt Hole Diameter: This aperture must accommodate the shaft diameter of connecting bolts, allowing smooth insertion while preventing excessive clearance after tightening.
✅Surface Finish: The flange surface should be machined flat, free of cracks, burrs, or other visible defects that compromise sealing integrity.
✅Spectral Analysis: This rapid method analyzes the chemical composition of flange materials to verify compliance with specified alloy standards.
Chemical Composition:
Hastelloy C22 (UNS N06022) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy belonging to the high-end grades of the Hastelloy C series, featuring precisely controlled chemical composition ratios: Nickel serves as the matrix element, ensuring the alloy’s fundamental toughness and corrosion resistance. Chromium content ranges from approximately 20.0-22.5% (enhancing corrosion resistance in oxidizing media such as nitric acid and chromic acid). Molybdenum content is approximately 12.5-14.5% (strengthening corrosion resistance in reducing media like hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid). Tungsten content of approximately 2.5-3.5% (further optimizes the alloy’s resistance to localized corrosion such as pitting and crevice corrosion), and trace elements including iron and cobalt to balance mechanical properties.

Mechanical Properties:
Hastelloy C-22 exhibits outstanding comprehensive mechanical properties at room temperature, with typical tensile strengths exceeding 690 MPa and yield strengths reaching approximately 276 MPa, while maintaining elongation rates as high as 30%. This combination of high strength and good ductility enables it to withstand heavy loads while remaining amenable to fabrication processes such as cold and hot forming. At elevated temperatures, it maintains good strength and excellent creep resistance, making it suitable for a wide range of demanding service conditions
