In March 2025, we received another order from this old customer. This is another order from one of our regular customer who has placed hundreds orders to us. After all these orders smooth process, we are very familiar with all their requirement about the marking, surface, package and transportation, there is no need from them to concerned and double check. For example, they require their goods’ marking to be with there item number and series number, the package type are required to be wooden case as the weight data and the marking on the case should be with their PO number. This time, he purchased a batch of Stainless Steel 316L Blind Flange. The customer has their own specific marking requirements, and the packaging should be standard seaworthy wooden crates.

Stainless Steel 316L: This is a molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. The “L” designation indicates a lower carbon content compared to standard 316 stainless steel. This lower carbon content improves weldability and reduces the risk of carbide precipitation during welding, which can lead to corrosion. 316L offers excellent corrosion resistance, especially against pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments, and good high-temperature strength.

The flange face is the surface that comes into contact with the gasket to create a seal. Common face types for blind flanges include:
Raised Face (RF): The sealing surface is raised above the bolting circle.
Flat Face (FF): The sealing surface is on the same plane as the bolting circle.
Ring Type Joint (RTJ): A groove is machined into the flange face to accommodate a metallic ring gasket.
