Weld Neck & Socket Weld Flanges Order

On June 6, 2025, a long-term customer from China requested a quote for weld neck flanges and socket weld flanges made of carbon steel, stainless steel, and nickel alloy materials with different specifications and wall thicknesses. These specifications, wall thicknesses, and material types are common for us, so we quickly completed the quote, and the customer placed an order in mid-July.

1.Visual Inspection: First, inspect the sealing surface and overall surface to ensure they are smooth and flat, with no scratches, cracks, pores, or obvious welding defects.

2.Outer Diameter:  Use a caliper to measure the outer diameter of the flange and verify that it meets the standard requirements.

3.Inner Diameter:  Inspect the inner diameter of the flange to confirm it matches the dimensions of the connecting pipe, with no significant deviations.

4.Center Circle Diameter:Measure the diameter of the bolt hole distribution circle to ensure that all holes are correctly positioned on the circumference.

5.Bolt Hole Size and Quantity:Verify the size, quantity, and distribution of the bolt holes to ensure they meet the standard specifications, with uniform spacing between holes.

6.Flange Height:Measure the overall height. For necked flanges, separately check the neck height to ensure accurate dimensions.

1.Visual Inspection: Inspect the flange surface for defects such as cracks, pores, slag inclusions, scratches, or rust.

2. Outer diameter: Ensure that the measured value is within the standard tolerance range.

3. Inner diameter: Ensure that it is fully compatible with the dimensions of the pipes.

4. Thickness: Measure the thickness value to confirm that it meets the design requirements.

5. Bolt hole center circle diameter: Precisely measure the diameter of the bolt hole distribution circle.

6. Socket depth: Measure using a depth gauge to ensure the insertion depth meets welding process requirements.

7. Number of bolt holes: Count each bolt hole according to the drawing requirements to ensure the quantity is accurate and error-free.

8. Bolt hole diameter: Use a standard plug gauge to inspect each bolt hole and confirm the hole diameter meets the specified dimensions.
